Konference, semináře
Up one levelWe invite you to participate in the 3rd UF Water Institute Symposium. This symposium will bring together scientists, engineers, academics, non-governmental organizations, policy makers, water managers, industry and utility representatives, lawyers, students, and the public to explore emerging issues related to nutrient sources, dynamics, management, and policy from multiple perspectives.
Global changes such as population growth, climate variability, expanding urbanization, and often pollution, are occurring in a pace and scale never experienced before. The impacts are also far to predict and hard to cope with. Amongst all impacts, food security and equitable access to fresh water resources are major challenges in which it is estimated that, within 25 years, two thirds of the world’s inhabitants will live in countries with serious water problems.
The aim of the conference is to challenge and inspire the water and environment community by sharing knowledge and best practice, which is at the heart of meeting key global challenges for a low-carbon future. There will be a mix of keynote speakers, offered papers, exhibitions and networking opportunities that will make this the key event for water and environment professionals. This conference is organised on an academic model, where there is a call for presentations and speakers will be selected on that basis by the conference programme committee
